Introduction

Discover a universe where creativity has no limits!

Build, experiment and discover the endless possibilities in this beautiful Sandbox game.

About the Game

Stardust Sandbox is a sandbox game inspired by the classic "Falling-Sand" style games. Offering an interactive and creative environment, explore, build and test your most incredible ideas in a world that you are in control of.

Controls

The mouse is used for most of the gameplay. Use it to interact with the menus, interfaces and the game canvas!

With the keyboard, you can use the W, A, S and D keys to move around the map (if it is large enough for this). Other shortcuts include:

  • Press the SPACE key to freeze or resume the flow of time;
  • Press the R key to quickly erase the map contents.

Requirements

Here are the necessary requirements for the game to function correctly:

  • Operating System: Windows or Linux;
  • DirectX: Version 9.0c or higher (Windows);
  • OpenGL: 2.0 or later (Linux);
  • RAM: At least 300 MB;
  • Disk Space: Minimum of 500 MB available;
  • System Architecture: x64 (64 bits);

Notes for the Linux Version

The Linux version uses some dependencies, therefore the following programs must be installed in your environment:

  • xdg-utils: Used to open paths in the file explorer or URLs in the browser;
  • zenity: Used to create GTK dialog boxes for displaying certain information.

Remember to also grant some permissions to the project executable using chmod for a trouble-free experience:

chmod +rwx ./StardustSandbox

Features

  • 86 usable elements, each with unique interactions and properties;
  • Quality retro pixel-art graphics;
  • Resizable and adjustable game screen for any resolution;
  • Translation into multiple languages:
    • English (United States) [en-US]
    • Portuguese (Brazilian) [pt-BR]
    • Spanish [es-ES]
    • French [fr-FR]
    • German [de-DE]
  • Original game OST with 6 song;
  • Customizing various game components (such as the cursor, for example);
  • Day and night cycle system.
